After “The Avengers Endgame” the film “Eternals” in Russia was banned 18+ for one reason

It became known that after “Avengers: Endgame” a new motion picture “Eternals” from the company Marvel in Russia received a rating of 18+, that is, it was banned for children, for one reason.

The painting “The Eternals” received an adult rating of 18+, that is, it was banned for children. According to Gamebomb.ru, the rating system of the Film Association of America (MPAA), which assigns ratings to films, in turn, rated the film “The Eternals” at a PG-13 rating. In this case, children under 13 years old must watch the tape accompanied by their parents. Usually, films rated at PG-13 in Russia are rated 12+ or 16+. However, the painting “The Eternals” received an 18+.

It is noted that such a decision was made due to the presence in the new Marvel film “The Eternals” of an LGBT character. Obviously, we are talking about a character named Fatos, played by actor Brian Tyree Henry (Brian Tyree Henry). He became the first gay superhero to debut in the MCU. It is worth noting that similar characters have appeared in Marvel films before, but not superheroes. For example, this was the case in the movie “The Avengers: Endgame”, where a similar character was played by one of the directors of the picture. However, in Russia, the dialogue from Avengers: Endgame has been slightly tweaked so viewers don’t understand what the character’s orientation is.

As Gamebomb.ru notes, the film “The Eternals” will be released in Russia on November 4, 2023. The main roles were played by: Richard Madden, Kit Harington, Salma Hayek, Angelina Jolie and others.
