Publisher Tencent Games will release global versions of its games through Level Infinite.
In the past few months, you may have noticed that projects like PUBG Mobile and Arena of Valor have changed their publisher name – instead of Tencent, they have Proxima Beta. A small investigation revealed that it is a Singapore-based company that Tencent uses to publish global versions of its games. Now the ice has moved a little and has ceased to be at the level of guesswork.
Foreign sources report that Level Infinite will now be responsible for the distribution of global versions of Tencent games. Nevertheless, Proxima Beta still hangs on Google Play. If you click on it, then the description will contain just Level Infinite. The official website of the company indicates which games it will play. Among them are not only mobile projects, but also console ones, for example, Vampire: The Masquerade – Bloodhunt.
If you’ve been actively following the industry news on our website, you know that over the years, Tencent has acquired or acquired a majority stake in many video game developers. While the publisher reports that many studios will remain independent, Level Infinite will simply help them. What do you think about this?
