Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic Remake revealed with first trailer

Sony has officially shown in the first trailer a remake of the popular game Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic.

After skipping major summer gaming conferences like E3 in 2023, Sony decided to host its own event to showcase its new projects. According to Gamebomb.ru, the first trailer shown at the Sony 2023 event was a remake of the popular game Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic. Fans will once again have the opportunity to experience one of their favorite RPGs, built from the ground up with the latest Next-Gen technology. It also became known that in addition to new technologies, Aspyr Media has involved in the work on the game Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic Remake many veterans of the gaming industry, including some of the original Knights of the Old Republic team. As the title suggests, Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic Remake will feature significantly redesigned graphics and a new art style.

While Aspyr may not be as big a name for many fans as BioWare is, the studio has a lot of experience with the Star Wars franchise. Aspyr Media has managed to bring many classic Star Wars games to modern platforms, including Star Wars Episode I: Racer, both Star Wars Jedi Knight games, and Star Wars: Republic Commando. For Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic Remake, Aspyr Media worked hand in hand with the recently re-created Lucasfilm Games.

As it became known to Gamebomb.ru, this will be the first original project that Aspyr Media has taken on, even if technically it is a remake of Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic. Unfortunately for fans, Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic Remake is exclusive to the PlayStation 5 console.
