Battlefield 2042 revealed 5 new specialists including Hacker

Electronic Arts and developers from DICE showed five new specialists in a new trailer for a first-person shooter Battlefield 2042which will bring things like winged suits, hacking and shields to multiplayer FPS.

EA and DICE have released a new gameplay trailer for the shooter Battlefield 2042, revealing five all-new specialists whose abilities and equipment include hacking, shield and more. As Gamebomb.ru spied, new Battlefield 2042 specialists have exclusive access to various gadgets such as winged suits, hacking tools, shields, the ability to see nearby enemies through walls, and more. Some players have criticized the Battlefield 2042 Specialist system for encouraging solo play and not encouraging team play. And fans continue to demand that DICE ditch the specialists in Battlefield 2042 in favor of traditional classes, but the developer continues to introduce new specialists. This could mean that the specialist system is too inseparable from the new shooter Battlefield 2042 to be canceled.

The five new FPS specialists in Battlefield 2042 are presented as follows: Navin Rao, a Support Specialist from India who can hack into various targets and detect nearby enemies. Santiago “Dozer” Espinoza, a Mexican assault-class specialist with a shield large enough to withstand even explosions. Ji-Soo Baek, a South Korean intelligence class specialist who can automatically detect and destroy targets. Emma “Sundance” Rosier, French Assault Class Specialist, in a winged suit. Constantin Angel, Romanian Support Specialist who acts as a Medic as he can easily revive allies and restore their armor. These five new specialists mean there will be 10 specialists in Battlefield 2042 at launch, with more to come in future DLCs.

According to Gamebomb.ru, the Battlefield series has traditionally been class-based, with class gear usually limited to standard military gear such as C4 explosives, ammo boxes and first aid kits to heal allies. Battlefield 2042 still includes these classic tools, but in addition to these, new specialist gadgets will be added, with the removal of classes and individual equipment more customizable than even in the last installments of the Battlefield franchise. The new first-person shooter Battlefield 2042 will be released on November 19, 2023 on PC, Xbox One, PS4, PS5 and Xbox Series X | S.
