In May, it became known that EA had opened a new game studio in Seattle, which is creating some kind of action-adventure in the open world. The collective is led by the former head of Monolith Productions (FEAR, Middle-earth: Shadow of series) Kevin Stevens.
The studio did not have a name at the time of the announcement, but according to EA’s filing last month, the studio was named Neon Black Studios. At the same time, we emphasize that in the documents there is an actual connection exclusively with the head office of EA in Redwood City, and not with the developers from Seattle.
In the team, Kevin Stevens, by the way, is also helped by Samantha Ryan, who also worked at Monolith, and later headed the BioWare, Motive and Maxis studios. She has already said that interest in open-world action games arose after the success of Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order.
