Sony Interactive Entertainment has returned with new information about Uncharted: Legacy of Thieves Collection, a package that will include remastered versions of Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End and Uncharted: The Lost Legacy for PlayStation 5 and PC. First of all, the PS5 version of the Uncharted collection will see the light of day on January 28, 2023, more details about the PC edition will be announced in the near future.
It is also good to know that Uncharted: Legacy of Thieves Collection will only include the single player campaign in Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End, the multiplayer component not being remastered for the new platforms.
On PlayStation 5, the two games included in the Uncharted collection for PS5 will benefit from several video display modes, as follows:
- Fidelity Mode – native 4K resolution, with a framerate of 30 frames per second.
- Performance Mode – targets a 60fps framerate while maintaining 1440p resolution.
- Performance Mode + – targets a 120fps framerate at 1080p resolution (requires a TV / monitor capable of a 120Hz refresh rate).
Optimizations for the PlayStation 5 also include much faster charging times, support for 3D audio playback (via TV speakers or stereo headphones), and the use of haptic feedback and resistive triggers on the DualSense controller.
Price and possibility of upgrade
Pre-orders for Uncharted: Legacy of Thieves Collection are now available through PlayStation Store for 239.90 lei (€ 49.99).
Players who own one of the games Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End (disc or digital), Uncharted: The Lost Legacy (disc or digital) or Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End & Uncharted: The Lost Legacy Digital Bundle for PlayStation 4 will also could only pay € 10 to upgrade to the digital edition of Uncharted: Legacy of Thieves Collection. The upgrade option will be active starting January 28, 2023, with the launch of the collection for PS5.
To be able to take advantage of a disc version of Uncharted 4 or The Lost Legacy games, you must have a PlayStation 5 console equipped with an optical drive. Last but not least, the € 10 upgrade does not apply to those who own the Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End version included in the PlayStation Plus subscription.
Uncharted: Legacy of Thieves Collection will be released for PlayStation 5 on January 28, 2023. The PC version of the collection will be available via Steam and Epic Games Store at a later date.
