Recently, on the official STALKER Discord server, the developers were asked a question regarding a theoretical remaster or remake of the original games of the STALKER trilogy, to which the answer was received that now all the developers’ efforts are thrown into the development of the second part of the game:
Some gaming news portals took this news as confirmation of plans to “remake” the original games in the series.
In order to find out whether the words said earlier by the developers were correctly perceived, the representatives of GSC Game World were asked a clarifying question, to which a direct answer was received that the studio did not plan to release a remaster:
At the moment, the developers have officially confirmed only the development of STALKER 2: Heart of Chernobyl, the release of which should take place on April 28, 2023 on PC and Xbox Series X | S.
