Icarus will be the first game to use the RTXGI Infinite Scrolling Volumes option

The upcoming PvE adventure game Icarus is coming to Early Access soon. This project will be the first to implement the Infinite Scrolling Volumes feature.

RTX Global Illumination (RTXGI) allows for more realistic modeling of indirect and reflected light from objects, and also provides soft shading.

For gamers, this means that they will be able to see more details in green-rich locations, as well as at night (gorgeous lighting in caves, better visual effects, etc.).

Infinite Scrolling Volumes (part of RTXGI) will dynamically calculate global illumination around the player. The result is influenced by many indicators (for example, deforestation of a virtual forest and other landscape changes).
