Take-Two is reviving the BioShock franchise, but series creator, designer, and screenwriter Ken Levin is not working on it. Instead, he is involved in another, more experimental project for Take-Two. Work on the project has been going on for several years, so far little is known about it
According to an insider, Ghost Story Games studio led by Ken Levin will finally debut its new game at the upcoming 2023 The Game Awards.
This project is currently under a veil of secrecy as Levine doesn’t say that much about it, but we know the game aims to be something unique. Levin described it as “narrative Lego,” a story-driven game that players can play multiple times to get a completely different experience. In addition, Levine stated that the upcoming game will be more challenging than the Bioshock games. Since the game is being developed by a fairly small studio (29 employees according to LinkedIn), it is possible that it will be a small game in which replayability is a key feature, which is not so bad.
As you can see, the insider RalphsValve posted the cover of Bioshock and then tweeted out explaining that he is hinting at something related to the Ghost Story Games studio for The Game Awards 2023. Whether that’s the case or not remains to be seen. Fortunately, TGA is just around the corner, so we won’t have to wait long. Until we receive an official message, announcement or confirmation, please treat this with a grain of salt.
